Charles I had made Henry Somerset the 1st Marquis of Worcester on Nov. 2, 1642 for his support in the Civil Wars. -- Document, 1644 Apr. 4, at Oxford to Prince Rupert, ordering him to prepare his troops to march. This document has substantial damage with loss of text and is mounted.
